Sometimes some of Patrice's wines are a bit of a mystery and some parts invention, often sourcing outside of Jura and blending with local grapes to create his intriguing range of wines.
This one is muscadet (melon de Bourgogne), grenache blanc and chardonnay that results in a really textural, skinsy white of chewy feel, ripe citrus fruit characters, floral notes with loads of clove-like spice dusted over everything.
Such a fascinating wine, firm with structure and really deep - an orange wine of high calibre and excitement.
Tasting
Lots of intensity here: Exotic aromas, dried fruits and sweet spices balanced by a savoury finish.
